About the role

The Supervisor Clinical Services Perioperative at St Joseph Medical Center is responsible for overseeing and coordinating comprehensive clinical initiatives, establishing protocols, driving process improvements, and managing resources to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. The role requires strong clinical acumen, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and evaluates clinical operations, programs, and resources to ensure safe and appropriate patient care delivery.
  • Develops and implements new clinical systems and programs to improve existing services and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborates with other departments to address and resolve problems, enhancing overall effectiveness and productivity.
  • Assesses services, patient outcomes, quality control, family/patient satisfaction, staffing needs, and operational effectiveness to optimize care delivery.
  • Works with the management team to ensure consistent operational and clinical practices, identifying opportunities for new quality/performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors work schedules and staffing levels to meet budgetary requirements and control overtime and/or premium pay.
  • Participates in developing strategies, initiatives, and programs addressing matters such as provision of new services, standardization of procedures, and enhancing patient outcomes/satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years’ experience and clinical knowledge in the same or similar clinical specialty, upon hire.
  • One year Charge nurse or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's of Science Nursing, upon hire.

Pay and Benefits
