Supervisor Clinical Laboratory

Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is a salaried position.
Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of designated departments. Assists the Manager in financial, capital, and human resources to ensure services meet established quality and productivity standards. Ensures the provision of high-quality services in accordance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for all aspects of personnel management and supervision. Performs laboratory bench assignments as needed.

- Maintain compliance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all aspects of personnel supervision and development.
- Perform laboratory bench assignments as needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science AND 4 years of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) laboratory training or experience AND 1 year of experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities (e.g., technical lead, coordinator, leader of special projects or committees, primary clinical educator) in Laboratory Services or a clinical/healthcare setting.
- OR Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology AND 2 years of CLIA laboratory training or experience AND 1 year of experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities (e.g., technical lead, coordinator, leader of special projects or committees, primary clinical educator) in Laboratory Services or a clinical/healthcare setting.
- Licensure/Certification (if highest level of education is associate’s degree):
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- High level of professionalism and ability to perform skillfully in stressful situations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and initiatives.
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft applications and solid computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
- Licensure/Certification: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
