Supervisor Clinical Dietetics - Nutrition Services
About the role
The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor oversees the clinical dietitians and daily operations. They are responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervising, coaching and developing clinical nutrition staff. They conduct annual competency assessments and facilitate clinician development plans, including clinical ladder. This position assists with audits and ensures alignment of department policies with state and federal regulations, and other regulatory bodies including the Joint Commission, Title 22 and CMS.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervising, coaching and developing clinical nutrition staff
- Conducting annual competency assessments and facilitating clinician development plans
- Aiding in audits and ensuring alignment of department policies with state and federal regulations
- Reporting to the Director and functioning as an integral member of the nutrition leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- National CDR Dietetic/Nutritionist Technician Registered - Commission on Dietetic Registration
- 5 years direct patient care, preferably in an inpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nutrition or related field or equivalent education/experience
- 2 years in a supervisory position, preferably in an inpatient setting
