Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in evaluating the clinical team and provides on-the-job training in deficient areas.
- Evaluates the provision of patient care and accuracy of supporting documentation through patient clinical record audits, including but not limited to OASIS, ICD-10 coding, Plans of Care, initial physician orders.
- Maintains oversight of staff performance related to OASIS documentation.
- Affords assistance, prepares, and presents at operations meetings, and submits required reports in a professional and timely manner.
- Affords on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis.
- Translates and interprets policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services of the agency.
Required
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Minimum of two years home health care experience
- Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintains a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines
- BLS certification required within first week of hire
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- One year of management experience
- Experience with homecare regulatory and accrediting bodies
