Supervisor Central Sterile Processing, Full Time, Overnight Shift, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the sterile processing department
• Ensuring proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment
• Overseeing and coordinating compliance of regulatory agency standards
• Coordinating with hospital services and medical staff for timely delivery of services
• Administering and/or establishing hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Collecting, generating, analyzing, and distributing statistical reports as required
• Assisting with quality monitoring and performance improvement activities
• Assisting with management of monthly departmental expenses, productivity, and time and attendance
• Encouraging the professional growth of subordinates
• Developing work schedules and assigning duties to maintain departmental workflow
• Counseling TMs relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to departmental and hospital rules and regulations
• Aiding in hiring and onboarding of new employees to ensure competency and training levels are obtained based on roles and responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in central sterile processing
• Ability to supervise staff in a manner conducive to professional growth and patient care
• High degree of confidence and professionalism including ability to interact well with physicians and other caregivers
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing healthcare environment
• Certified Central Sterile Processing through IAHCSMM, CBSPD, or HSPA
