Supervisor, Business Systems Analyst

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of Business Systems Analysts including Senior and Associate Analysts by providing clear direction, mentorship, and coaching to build technical and professional capabilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with division and county priorities
- Partner with department leaders to assess needs and develop strategic technology and analytics roadmaps
- Set team goals, performance measures, and training plans to build expertise, improve efficiency, and support professional growth
- Serve as liaison between Human Services, IT, and vendors to ensure clear communication and smooth system integration
- Expand data and analytics use by strengthening infrastructure, increasing data literacy, and promoting evidence-based decisions
- Oversee design, development, deployment, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, datasets, and data models
- Ensure data quality and standardized practices to support consistent, responsible data use
- Work with leadership to identify needs, set priorities, and implement sustainable system solutions
- Lead division-wide initiatives and partner with project managers on scope, estimates, resources, timelines, and budgets
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices to recommend solutions that enhance system performance and analytics maturity
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years (2,080 annual hours) of job-related experience. In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting organizations delivering human services programs
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field; master's degree or certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred
- Proven ability to manage complex system projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination
- Demonstrated success mentoring business systems analysts and fostering continuous improvement
Work Location and Schedule
This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work, with some days working remotely and some days working in the office. Expected work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay and Benefits
- Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 38: $98,176 to $137,384 annually ($47.20 to $66.05 per hour)
