About the role
This role leads the Business Office team, overseeing key operational functions including Finance & Administration, NOC Facilities, Resource Planning, and Employee Dependability. As the direct manager of cross-functional employees within the Business Office, you will ensure that internal processes run efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company standards. The supervisor acts as both a leader and coach, providing direction, development, and performance oversight to team members. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, an operational mindset, and a commitment to supporting business needs across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Business Office team responsible for Finance, Resource Planning, and Employee Dependability functions.
- Oversee integrated business functions including financial operations, labor resource planning, and employee dependability, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational continuity.
- Act as a central liaison between Business Office operations and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and support business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement through process evaluation and implementation of best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations across all business office functions.
- Manage direct reports and dotted-line reports, including communications, performance reviews, knowledge/skills development, coaching, and mentoring.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of airline operational experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for all employee levels.
- Strong skills in MS Office tools—Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build consensus and relationships across the organization.
- Provide leadership to direct reports to ensure accomplishment of goals set by the management team.
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
- Must be willing and able to travel at least 50%.
- Must be willing to work a hybrid-work schedule.
- Must be willing and able to work at the Arlington Heights facility in Arlington Heights, IL.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of finance/accounting experience.
- 2+ years of resource planning experience.
- 2+ years of team-leading experience.
- Willing and able to work early morning shifts, late night schedules, and weekends.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00. The base salary range is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
