Supervisor Business Office Operations | Cardiology Clinic
About the Role
Organizes and supervises workload, fills in for staff as required, and implements and reviews evaluation procedures to assess employee performance. Provides instruction and training for staff while ensuring cost-effective, high-quality service. Responsibilities
- Coordinates general workflow based on office activities and healthcare professional inquiries to maximize productivity and efficiency, ensuring smooth transitions within shifts.
- Develops, coordinates, and performs instruction and training for staff and students.
- Instructs personnel in new procedures and creates structured programs to inform staff of changes within the section.
- Monitors and evaluates employee performance through competency assessments, consultations, or direct observation of clinic activities.
- Organizes and supervises non-clinical workflow and personnel in the clinic.
- Prepares and offers continuing education opportunities for staff and students.
- Identifies new opportunities for business growth and development by utilizing office systems and staff to their full potential.
- Reviews and assists with the budget process as requested.
- Exercises independent judgment to maintain confidentiality of personal health information in accordance with HIPAA Privacy Standards and Monument Health policies.
- Consults Supervisor, Director, Privacy Officer, or Staff Counsel as necessary.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: 1+ years of Medical Record Management experience.
- Preferred: 1+ years of Medical Terminology experience.
- Preferred: 5+ years of Healthcare experience.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business or a related field.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work involving exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Primarily involves sitting for extended periods.

Schedule
Full-time, 40 scheduled weekly hours. Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.
