About the role
IT'SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be the premier "SUGARTAINER" in charge of delivering a SWEET customer experience while promoting our brand. This position is a steppingstone towards a management role within IT'SUGAR. The Supervisor will be a shift leader in charge of overseeing all store functions and team members.
Responsibilities
- Laugh out loud, dance to the music, and provide a humorous escape to our customers while you act as a leader on duty
- Oversees the daily operation of the store and ensures that sales objectives are met
- Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability
- Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of Sales Associates
- Demonstrates a positive, enthusiastic and brand proud attitude
- Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines
- Partners with store manager to identify ongoing challenges and present solutions
- Follow our customer engagement model SUGARTAINMENT by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer
- Assist customers with requests and inquiries
- Ensure salesfloor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards
- Operate POS/register to properly cash out all customers
- Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products
- Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information
- Maintains store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures
- Ensures visual standards are appropriate and support the brand image
- Merchandises displays to visual guidelines
- Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions
- Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory
- Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the Store Manager
- Operational Responsibilities include, but are not limited to salesfloor/backroom/restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Years of Experience: 2 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of supervisor experience preferred
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able and willing to work 32-40 hours a week
- Must be able to use a POS/cash register
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be able to work alone or with minimum amount of supervision
