About the role
Controlled Contamination Services has been a national provider of facility solutions, technical and decontamination services since 1993. Our clients are in the Life Sciences, Technology, IT, Defense, and Aerospace industries. The Supervisor oversees the day-to-day cleaning operations and quality programs of specific accounts or group sites.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniques.
- Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
- Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
- Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Duties may vary depending on the service environment, including specialized training for GMP spaces, data centers, or other specific janitorial tasks.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Over 1 year of experience in the cleaning and/or janitorial arenas.
- Well-versed in safety requirements, equipment use, scheduling, and training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work & Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Required to spend on-the-job time standing, walking, lifting/climbing, talking/hearing, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Must be able to reach with hands or arms.
- Weight or force requirement: Up to 40 pounds.
- May work in loud environments (e.g., metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
