Brief Description
Looking for a hands-on leadership opportunity? As a Supervisor Assistant, you'll help support daily production operations by assisting employees, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with the supervisor to keep the team on track, promote a positive work environment, and help employees succeed. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, communicates well, and enjoys helping others while getting the job done.

What You'll Do
- Determine and communicate job assignments to production operators (including job rotations) and build operator capabilities
- Oversee and lead production line activities per standard work to meet goals for and improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance
- Continuously support and encourage production operators to be positive, work as a team, grow their skills, and meet production line performance goals
- Recognize positive performance
- Aid the Production Supervisor in evaluating and coaching production operators
- Proactively and positively participate in start-of-shift meetings
- Effectively communicate production line performance results via shift turnover reports and to next shift
- Monitor the quality of parts and assemblies – and lead containment efforts for nonconforming materials
- Timely communicate any risks to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance to Production Supervisor
- Ensure production operators adhere to company policies, procedures, standard works, work instructions, and other instructions
- Participate in and be a leader for 6S organization efforts
