Job Overview
This position is responsible for the daily operation and workflow of one or more of the advanced modality areas within Radiology. It offers a unique opportunity to influence clinical practice, guide a high-performing team, and contribute to the advancement of imaging services within a leading pediatric hospital.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Implements annual work plans to achieve goals and performance metrics.
- Participates in leadership activities for department, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives; evaluates team performance.
- Manages communications to the organization on projects and hot topics related to section.
- Directs day-to-day technical duties for department. Assigns and reviews work, provides work instruction (OTJ or formal training) and develops team members. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues; hires and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs.
- Participates in developing budget recommendations and in monitoring budget.
- Works on complex projects; performs project management activities. Provides technical expertise on programs, processes, and best practices.
- Ensures compliance against federal, state, and local regulations for section.
- Actively participates in the development and monitoring of compliance with all regulatory agencies and federally funded programs, productivity analysis, quality/performance improvement and patient/employee safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education– Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an accredited radiography program
- Equivalency - Experience will substitute for education on a year for year basis
- Experience – Four (4) years of advanced modality experience - Previous leadership strongly experience preferred
- Certification – BLS/CPR, ARRT Registered in CT, MR, and/or IR - Preference will be given to those applicants with their CT and/or MRI certifications.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $90,900.58 to $136,350.88
