About the role

The Guidance Center is seeking a Supervisor to join our team of talented professionals. We offer a market-based compensation structure with an estimated salary varying based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all administrative and clinical functioning of the Adult Behavioral Health Program.
  • Deliver services to the institutions and client populations of the community served by the program.
  • Work regular business hours Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with additional evening and/or weekend hours as needed.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • A professional license from the state of Michigan (LMSW, LLP, or LPC) must be held and continuously active without disciplinary action.
  • Experience working in a community mental health setting and knowledge of community resources is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders is required.
  • Must demonstrate competence in individual, family, and group mental health and/or substance abuse treatment.
  • Show job experience and competence in collaborating with clients and communities, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
  • Must be able to work independently and handle crisis situations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.

  • Three (3) years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Experience working in a community mental health setting and knowledge of community resources.

  • Ability to work independently and handle crisis situations.
