Supervisor 1, Supply Technician, Administrative Services [R0153224]

UNLV Logistics Services is seeking a skilled Supply Technician Supervisor 1 to oversee daily inbound and outbound shipping operations, reporting to the Director of Delivery Services.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide operational and fiscal leadership for the Shipping & Receiving and Mail Services units, managing a regional warehouse facility that supports shipping logistics across UNLV’s main and satellite campuses.

Responsibilities

• Direct the university's receipt, inventory, storage, issuance, shipment, recordkeeping, and property control for a wide range of institutional assets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and security standards.
• Engage in complex purchasing operations.
• Draft and recommend operational policies and procedures.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, along with performing standard personnel management duties.
• Coordinate with other Delivery Services divisions to maintain seamless transfer of goods, equipment, and information.

Requirements

• Three or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties, with a minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in inventory and asset management, warehouse operations, package or mail delivery.
• Previous experience developing and overseeing an operational budget.

Pay

Grade 29, Step 1, salary $50,153.76. In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade.
