About the role
The Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) at ICAN Children’s Therapy is a key leadership position focused on elevating the clinical performance and growth of our SLPAs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver both direct and indirect supervision, ensuring compliance with ASHA and Washington State regulations.
- Drive Quality: Oversee assessments, re-evaluations, and write progress reports for the SLPA caseload.
- Family Engagement: Conduct regular parent trainings and support sessions to foster family involvement and progress.
- Evaluate & Support: Perform initial evaluations; cover sessions as needed and provide makeup visit availability.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with occupational/physical therapists and administrative leaders for wrap-around, multidisciplinary care.
- Mentor & Lead: Model ICAN’s values in all facets of supervision, fostering a positive, growth-oriented, and team-centric environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.
- Department Goals: Assist in operational and quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited institution).
- Active Washington State SLP License.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience.
- Experience supervising SLPAs or Clinical Fellows.
- Proven skills in communication, documentation, mentorship, and organization.
