Job Description And Duties
Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 17, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly for at least 16 months. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Responsibilities
- Planner, assigner, supervisor, and evaluator of the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area.
- Receives, disseminates, implements, and monitors the adherence to policies and procedures.
- Applies supervisory rules and principles.
- Sets goals for self and others.
- Ensures the continuity of quality patient care.
- Actively participates and supports the Complete Care Model.
Qualifications
The SRN II, CF must possess a current California RN license. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a correctional facility setting. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Supervising Registered Nurse I or II. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Supervising Registered Nurse III. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a correctional facility setting.

Pay
Salary range: $47,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
