About the role

The Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I position is a part‑time role (20 hours per week) at the California Medical Facility (CMF) in Vacaville, CA, within Solano County. Under the direction of the Chief of Mental Health or designee, the incumbent provides clinical supervision to social workers who treat inmate patients, plans, organizes, and directs the social work program, and performs other related duties as assigned. The role supports the department’s vision of enhancing public safety and promoting community reintegration through education, treatment, and rehabilitative/restorative justice programs, and its mission to facilitate successful reentry of individuals equipped to be drug‑free, healthy, and employable members of society.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to social workers delivering care to inmate patients in a correctional facility.
• Plan, organize, and direct the social work program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Benefits

• Eligible for a $10,000 one‑time recruitment and retention stipend after six months of continuous employment with CCHCS.
• Eligible for a monthly recruitment and retention differential during the first year, totaling up to $20,000.

• Employees assigned to the Psychiatric Inpatient Program who provide direct patient care for more than 50 % of the pay period receive a pay differential equal to 15 % of their monthly base pay.
