Scope of Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
- Trains and develops subordinate staff.
- Estimates personnel needs and assigns work.
- Maintains consistent application of organizational policies.
- Ensures compliance with the Kinney Standard of Practice.
- Manages third-party claims submissions and collections.
- Monitors and balances pharmacy inventory.
- Transmits, processes, and receives pharmacy orders.
- Checks inventory for outdates and processes returns.
- Maintains prescription files and other records.
- Uses pharmacy technology to maximize its potential.
- Maintains outstanding customer service standards.
- Fulfills loss prevention policies.
- Affords support in corporate pharmacy marketing and promotional activities.
- Maintains a clean, safe pharmacy environment.
- Maintains professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Maintains awareness of industry developments and applies them to practice.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Facilitates communication between pharmacy and professional staff.
- Develops and operates the pharmacy department within budget guidelines.
- Completes hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
- Assigns duties and schedules pharmacy staff.
- Trains and develops pharmacy department personnel.
- Communicates corporate goals to pharmacy department personnel.
- Interfaces with auditors and outside agencies.
- Oversights facility compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Completes mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Job Summary
Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers. Manages the Pharmacy Department, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines, and maintaining a clean, professional environment that protects customer and employee safety.
Job Duties
- Dispenses prescriptions and services customers.
- Performs quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions.
- Reports dispensing incidents promptly.
- Adheres to State and Federal guidelines.
- Manages and balances pharmacy inventory.
- Processes pharmacy orders from Kinney Warehouse and suppliers.
- Checks inventory for outdates and processes returns.
- Maintains prescription files and other records.
- Uses pharmacy technology to its fullest potential.
- Maintains outstanding customer service.

Education & Experience
- Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist.
Job Requirements
- Possesses and maintains a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift.

Compensation
$118,809.60 - $142,076.63 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
