About the role
Therapitas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality therapy services to Spanish-speaking children in Oklahoma since 2015. We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient team in Oklahoma City.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans of care for pediatric patients
- Provide skilled intervention to improve strength, mobility, motor development, and functional independence
- Document services in our easy-to-use electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with occupational therapists (OTs), speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and other team members to provide coordinated, family-centered care
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Physical Therapy students
Requirements
- DPT or PT degree from an accredited program
- Oklahoma PT license or eligibility to obtain
- 3+ years of experience in pediatrics
- Willingness and eagerness to take on students and supervise PTAs
- Passion for working with children and families
- Mission-driven approach to care
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice physical therapy in Oklahoma
- Experience with Spanish language is not required, but we provide interpreter support
- Ability to participate in Spanish Immersion Program (SIP) if interested
