Job Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade.
- Review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
- Write and administer Commissioning Plans, and Systems Manuals consistent with Syska format.
- Coordinate with accounting to prepare monthly project invoices. Monitor project accounts receivable and contact the client as needed to expedite payment.
- Address Risk Management issues on Projects.
- Continuously build a strong Networking system within Syska Hennessey Group and in the marketplace.
- Coordinate and assign various tasks to be performed by the commissioning team.
- Cross-sell all Syska serves throughout client organization locally and geographically.
- Ensure optimal project information flow (internally and externally).
- Establish commissioning standards, specifications and criteria for projects.
- Generate new sales.
- Lead QA/QC process for projects.
- Lead Technical Delivery of the Project.
- Manage Project Scope in proposal. Identify "Scope-Creep" addressing with client in a timely manner.
- Manage commissioning duties, such as issue reports, issues resolutions, contractor submittals, and design drawings, etc.
- Prepare proposal and administer project contracts between Syska Hennessy Group and the client, including Add Service Agreements.
- Supervise and lead commissioning meetings and develop scripts.
- Supervise preparation of reports and analysis of results of the commissioning efforts.
- Understand and manage client expectations; Tight project schedule control.
- Write proposals for large scale projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent years of experience, including commissioning of large distribution systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory type facilities.
- A minimum of 7 years field experience in hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large Electrical or Mechanical systems.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field.
- Possesses basic understanding of proper system selection.
- Exhibits basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principals to building designs.
- Exhibits thorough understanding of applicable codes.
- Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols, a plus.
