Position Overview
The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in water/wastewater construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations on water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utility projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews to maintain project schedules
- Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges in the field
- Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive successful project delivery
Qualifications
- 5+ years of superintendent experience in heavy civil or water/wastewater construction
- Proven experience with at least one of the following: Water/wastewater treatment plants, Pump or lift stations, Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors effectively
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to job site safety
