About the Role

A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support the successful delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant projects across the Atlanta area. This key leadership role oversees field operations, drives schedules, and ensures the highest standards of safety and quality on complex infrastructure projects.

The Superintendent will manage day-to-day on-site activities for heavy civil construction projects, with a strong focus on concrete structures and mechanical systems. This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate subcontractors, supervise crews, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations from mobilization through project completion
  • Oversee concrete work including structural pours, formwork, and finishing
  • Coordinate installation of mechanical systems such as piping, pumps, and treatment equipment
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with project management
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, site policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain productivity and quality
  • Conduct daily site meetings and progress reporting
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience on water/wastewater treatment plant projects
  • Strong background in concrete construction and mechanical scopes
  • Proven ability to manage large crews and subcontractors on complex heavy civil jobs
  • Experience with treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, or related infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • OSHA knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe job site
