SUPERINTENDENT ( SPG)

About the role

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Superintendent for their special projects group. The role involves leading all field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Lead, oversee, and educate on the Zero Harm safety culture, perform safety walks, lead safety meetings, and investigate incidents.
• Financial Responsibility: Communicate with the project manager on potential extra charges, track cost events, and prepare project proposals and presentations.
• Preconstruction: Assist with constructability/value engineering, create and update project plans, schedules, and logistics, and participate in preconstruction meetings.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop the overall project plan, schedule milestones, and updates, lead pull planning sessions, and manage delay notifications.
• Procurement: Identify and negotiate schedule roadblocks, track procurement, and assist in project closeout.
• Project Administration: Lead OAC meetings, prepare monthly project reports, and ensure project quality control.
• Team Building: Mentor, train, and develop employees, provide feedback, and participate in performance reviews.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of commercial construction field experience.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in computers and company communication tools.
• Experience with scheduling software (P6 preferred).
• OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• Theme park or attraction experience is a plus.
• DBIA and CCM Professional Certifications preferred but not required.
• CIESC Certification preferred but not required.

Benefits

The base compensation range for the role is $120,000 to $160,000 annually. This range may be modified based on various factors including performance, experience, and organizational needs.

Pay

The base compensation range for the role of Superintendent is $120,000 to $160,000 annually.

Schedule

The role may require night shifts.
