Superintendent - Security

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team in Seattle, WA. The Superintendent will provide daily scheduling of technician resources, including subcontractor coordination, site supervision, monitor the performance of all field staff members, and be very involved with all projects under construction assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Review project requirements and installation plan with the project team
  • Schedule projects with project management and assign technical and asset resources
  • Communicate with all internal project team members
  • Review job packages upon receipt for job cost accuracy
  • Keep current job labor reports for all open projects and ensure hours spent on projects are within budget
  • Administer a corrective action plan when hours being used are in excess of the budgeted hours
  • Review system installations to ensure best practices are used
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance
  • Ensure technicians maintain appropriate appearance and conduct on all assigned projects
  • Facilitate the staging of materials for projects
  • Ensure project team has the proper tools for the job
  • Closely out projects in a timely manner and obtain customer sign-off
  • Compile and deliver all project final deliverables
  • Facilitate and assist in client trainings on an as needed basis
  • Travel to sites required throughout employment, local travel only, typically
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Access control, Intrusion, Locking mechanisms and Surveillance cameras, Telecommunications and Audio Visual Systems
  • Valid Washington State EL06 (Limited Energy) License, with the ability to maintain active licensure throughout employment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects within budget and schedule
  • In-depth knowledge of low voltage systems, industry standards, and regulations
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record
  • Industry education and experience required
  • Experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient with Computers and Troubleshooting

  • Self-driven to enhance overall industry knowledge
  • Ability to obtain and maintain/renew system product certifications as necessary for project requirements
  • Ability to obtain Hilti, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lift, Confined Space Certifications
  • Ability to obtain OSHA30

Physical Demands

  • Stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop
  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
  • Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
  • High work may be required

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment
  • Exposure to construction equipment
  • Exposure to confined space entry may be required

Compensation

$60.00 - $70.00/hour (DOE)

Working Hours

This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
