Job Description
Functions autonomously to implement programs within a given functional area of the Quality group. Supports management in the implementation of relevant quality processes and procedures and the daily execution of related activities. Participates on cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives and processes. Owns the execution of technical objectives related to assigned responsibilities. Innovates for continuous Quality improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant field of study.
- 5-10 years related experience or training.
- Knowledge of Microbiology, Food Science or Chemistry.
- 3-5 years’ experience in sanitation supervisory and/or production.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
- Understanding of various chemicals and sanitation procedures.
- 5 years supervisory experience.
- Good verbal, written, and technical skills.
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and extreme heat.
- Works in a standard office setting.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages 1-4 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1-10 employees in the Production/Quality.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Also directly supervises 1-5 non-supervisory employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Pay Transparency
A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.
Pay Rate or Range: $95,020.00 - $142,520.00
