Superintendent Quality
About the role
Lamb Weston is seeking a Superintendent Quality to join our team in Hermiston, OR. This role is full-time and requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5-10 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement programs within the Quality group
- Support management in implementing quality processes and procedures
- Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives and processes
- Own the execution of technical objectives related to assigned responsibilities
- Innovate for continuous Quality improvement
- Develop and ensure maintenance of a consistent HACCP and SSOP format
- Aid in developing and maintaining a consistent pre-requisite program strategy and format
- Assist with Allergen, Pathogen, and Foreign Material Control programs
- Aid in Weight and Measures programs
- Schedule and lead training activities
- Support Quality and Food Safety Manager in maintaining food safety systems and regulatory systems
- Utilize process metrics to anticipate potential problems and recognize existing problems
- Identify root causes and resolve problems before they add risk and costs
- Advise Operations, R&D, and Marketing on the development and maintenance of HACCP and SSOP plans
- Support plant management through regulatory audits and challenges
- Review and develop current control programs
- Maintain measures of compliance with plant management staffs
- Facilitate implementation of corrective action responses
- Proactively develop quality programs and enhancements
- Lead and/or support projects related to food safety and regulatory issues
- Address customer complaints through research and development of corrective actions
- Lead and develop Team Lead groups through Food Safety and Quality metrics, as well as PQ development
- Provide support to QA Techs and QA Clerks through lab audits, training, and overall department support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant field
- 5-10 years related experience or training
- Knowledge of Microbiology, Food Science, or Chemistry
- 3-5 years’ experience in sanitation supervisory and/or production
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
- Understanding of various chemicals and sanitation procedures
- 5 years supervisory experience
- Good verbal, written, and technical skills

- Ability to apply mathematical concepts
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions

Pay
Industry-competitive pay rate ranging from $95,020.00 to $142,520.00 annually.
