About the role
Oversee and manage the operational efficiency and safety of railway services. Lead a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of trains, stations, and related facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure safe, punctual, and efficient train services, collaborating with teams for resource optimization and service enhancement.
- Uphold safety standards through implementation of regulations, conducting audits to mitigate risks.
- Monitor KPIs for on-time performance, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement.
- Manage staffing, equipment, and infrastructure for optimal resource utilization while controlling costs.
- Develop emergency response plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain operational integrity and Amtrak's operating license.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. Plus 13 years of relevant work experience.

Pay
The salary/hourly range is $187,500.00 – $242,892.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary.
