About the Role
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Ensures adherence to budgets and meets product delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct production operators in a production area or building, which may include coverage across multiple areas or buildings.
- Coordinate with other Production Supervisors and Lead Operators to ensure proper coverage of production operations.
- Oversee production processes such as inert material preparing, screening and blending, pelleting, melting, loading, explosive preparing assembly, packing, shipping, repairing, and machining.
- Advise superiors and consult with Process Engineering and other departments to plan and develop production policies, procedures, and time estimates for manufactured items.
- Ensure subordinates receive adequate safety training and comply with pertinent regulations, including hazardous waste handling.
- Establish effective employee morale and maintain discipline, coordinating with higher authority when necessary.
- Promote and maintain high levels of housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned production processes, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on bargaining contract language and implementation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in business, management, or a technical field Preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience Required.

Pay
The wage range for this role is $68,480 - $102,720. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including experience and geographic location.
