Safety First
- Maintain job safety for construction project(s).
- Monitor and enforce safety for subcontractors.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety meetings.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Complete safety surveys and checklists.
Planning and Scheduling
- Study contract drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and quality assurance programs.
- Provide recommendations for design details.
- Contribute to the establishment of budgets and scheduling of construction activities.
- Obtain appropriate building permits.
Project Oversight
- Oversee and direct all phases of construction work.
- Monitor progress schedule and take corrective action.
- Order construction materials according to project specifications.
- Schedule work activities of subcontractors.
- Ensure building inspections are completed.
- Ensure compliance with municipal ordinances.
- Maintain proper and accurate job layout.
- Monitor job costs and take corrective action.
- Maintain positive relationships with surrounding areas.
Team Supervision
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members.
- Delegate authority and responsibility to subordinates and co-workers.
- Create and maintain productive working relationships with subcontractors.
- Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Hold weekly jobsite meetings.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Correct issues in punch-lists and related to issues.
- Ensure occupancy permit is obtained before owners take occupancy.
General Administration
- Prepare progress reports containing labor hours and in-place quantities.
- Generate back-up for owner change orders.
- Process back-up for subcontractor back changes.
- Provide ongoing communication and project updates/changes to Project Manager.
