About the role
The Superintendent leads, directs, and coordinates the work of Trade Partners, Company Labor, and Joint Venture Labor. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work is performed to standard, and adherence to budget and time frame of the project. The Superintendent has supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns and Trade Labor in their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and co-workers
- Able to read electrical diagrams/schematics
- Coordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and all other project site management team members to assure that the there is always adequate project resources.
- Actively contribute to the project schedule and close-out process
- Monitor project labor, project costs, and equipment needs
- Participate in the design development process to collaborate and value engineer construction methods to reduce time and cost
- Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets, responsible for overall project delivery
- Ensure contractor compliance of safety/OSHA requirements are met on all job sites to minimize risk
- Establish effective relationships and strive for a collaborative team environment
- Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction site management
- Design-Build experience is ideal
- Active jobsite experience and strong safety record
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports, etc.
- Significant knowledge of construction methods as well as an understanding of municipalities and the permit processes
- Ability to manage subcontractors and vendors
- Prowess in negotiating and tracking change orders, submittals, RFI's, and pay requests
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time
- Proven ability to direct Superintendent to ensure accurate completion of project scope
- Documented ability to meet sensitive timelines
- Strong knowledge of Building Code and Safety Regulations
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite including MS Excel, and MS Project or other Project Management software
- Procore Certified or knowledge and skill in Procore
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
- Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs

Pay
This position is a night shift position that comes with a salary and per diem incentive.
