About the role
The Construction Team at Fluidstack is responsible for delivering one of the largest data center buildouts of its kind, with many sites running at once. They focus on extreme ownership, velocity, and first principles thinking to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Own daily site execution of large bore industrial or process piping systems on large-scale mechanical builds.
- Coordinate mechanical and process trades, subcontractors, General Contractors (GC), and union representatives across simultaneous cooling and process system installs.
- Lead mechanical system commissioning, verifying cooling and process systems perform to spec before handoff to operations.
- Read and interpret complex mechanical, process, and piping drawings, specs, and RFIs, and resolve field issues fast.
- Manage on-site logistics for large bore pipe, mechanical equipment, and long lead process materials.
Requirements
- You've led on-site installation of large bore industrial or process piping systems on large-scale mechanical builds.
- You've overseen mechanical system commissioning, verifying cooling or process systems perform to spec before turnover.
- You've managed multiple mechanical subcontractors, GC relationships, and union representatives at once on complex builds.
- You know building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards for mechanical and process work (OSHA, ASME B31.3, NFPA).
- You read complex mechanical, process, and piping drawings, specs, and RFIs fluently.
- You manage schedules, logistics, and on-site materials and equipment for mechanical and process scopes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale mechanical and process piping installations.
- Experience with liquid cooling or high density process system builds is a plus.
- Commissioning oversight on mission-critical mechanical systems is preferred.
- Large bore pipe fabrication or welding oversight experience is beneficial.
Skills
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards for mechanical and process work.
- Fluency in reading complex mechanical, process, and piping drawings, specs, and RFIs.
- Effective communication and coordination skills with subcontractors, GCs, and union representatives.
- Ability to manage schedules, logistics, and on-site materials and equipment for mechanical and process scopes.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options. We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
