Superintendent II

The Role

The Superintendent II will assist more senior Superintendents on the day-to-day responsibilities of multi-family residential and mixed-use construction projects from start to finish. The role involves identifying root causes of hazards, delays, poor quality, and other jobsite issues, developing solutions and plans to mitigate future risks to the project, monitoring subcontractors, collaborating with project management, ensuring quality control standards are met, attending project team meetings, creating and tracking RFIs, assisting with inspections, maintaining daily onsite activities, providing oversight to work quality and schedule, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Construction-related courses from a vocational or technical school are preferred.

Experience

At least 5 years of comparable work-related experience in residential construction projects, with moderate knowledge across all disciplines and phases of construction.

• Reads and writes English clearly and concisely
• Uses computer applications such as Unifier (I-BEAM), ProCore, Blue Beam, and Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
• Displays strong leadership, planning, prioritizing, organizing, collaborating, and managing workloads
• Communicates effectively and works with diverse personalities
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understands all aspects of the plans documentation package
• Knows building codes and local jurisdiction policies and procedures
