Responsibilities
- Attend all required pre-job meetings
- Review project scope with the Project Manager and Area Manager prior to work commencement
- Receive and review all union contracts prior to union pre-jobs
- Set up job site prior to project start
- Review and understand cost codes before starting work
- Communicate and maintain working relationships with FDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners
- Ensure work is completed according to project specifications
- Coordinate all subcontractor operations
- Manage the local union relationship
- Supervise all on-site employees for assigned projects
- Ensure EEO requirements are met or good-faith efforts are documented
- Complete required paperwork, including daily timesheets with photo documentation, safe cards, weekly toolbox talks, onboarding, daily diaries, delivery tickets with cost codes, and fuel receipts
- Submit daily timesheets and diary notes from any Foreman under your supervision
- Ensure completed quantities are entered daily and accurately
- Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule, including activities, equipment, personnel/craft, material needs, and Q/C testing needs
- Verify utility locates before any excavation
- Maintain all tools and equipment assigned to the project
- Ensure equipment checklists are completed as necessary
- Guarantee all required materials and equipment are on-site as scheduled
- Ensure maximum equipment utilization on the project
- Oversee work compliance with OSHA Standards and company policies, including subcontractors
- Conduct toolbox talks on the first workday of the week and submit sign-in sheets
- Ensure safe cards are completed and submitted daily
- Perform other work-related duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum GED or High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with structural components of roadways, highways, or bridges
- Railroad/CSX experience is a plus

Pay
Salary range starting at $125,000.00+ depending on experience.
