About the role

The role involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications, managing schedules, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand and enforce project specifications and contract documents
• Execute project schedules and communicate progress to project managers and owners
• Organize and supervise site workers, assign tasks based on skills and training
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Monitor labor costs and project expenditures
• Create and maintain project documentation
• Inspect daily construction work to ensure compliance with specifications
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
• Manage employee performance and address disciplinary issues
• Develop and maintain a safety-conscious work environment
• Facilitate project closeout and resource demobilization

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Construction Management or similar field, or Journeyman status in a building trade
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry on complex projects
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications
• Experience developing relationships with key stakeholders
• Understanding of project cost analysis
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other construction industry software
• Experience working on healthcare, industrial, federal, or mission critical projects
