About the role
InProduction is seeking a skilled individual to join our team. We are a leader in providing temporary seating, staging, structures, and scenic production for the U.S. live events industry. Our services include design and fabrication, delivery and installation, on-site execution, and tear-down. We collaborate with event organizers across various verticals such as golf, motorsports, music festivals, sports & entertainment, and corporate events.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate drawings for sales staff using our drawing library of parts.
- Supervise installation and dismantling of equipment, including scaffolds, ladders, walkways, handrails, floorings, etc.
- Oversee and enforce company safety standards.
- Oversee operations of multiple crews for projects.
- Manage and direct the safe and efficient installation/removal of equipment in accordance with project specific plans and layouts.
- Study plans, blueprints, and equipment lists prior to on-site installation.
- Uphold company safety standards and ensure appropriate safety measures are followed.
- Ensure fall protection requirements while erecting/dismantling scaffolds.
- Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of assigned team; prepare and administer corrective actions as needed.
- Manage and direct the loading and unloading of equipment and materials from trucks and vehicles.
- Budget management; organize and oversee costs and expenditure.
- Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of crew sheets, time cards, and job reports.
- Work with customers to ensure full client satisfaction in relation to the quality of service and finished product within planned time schedules.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years overseeing the construction and dismantling of scaffolding.
- Willingness and ability to travel and be away from home for long periods of time, often beyond three months.
- Travel requirement of 100% on project sites.
- Ensures all safety procedures along with local/ state laws are followed.
- Documents projects status daily to Project Manager.
- Identifies any risks to schedule, scope or budget.
- Requests and receives material for projects.
- Supervises all labor, Crew leads, and Foreman at given job site.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license.
- Must meet eligibility requirements to operate company vehicles.
- Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer and internet fluency.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Tolerance for the physical demands of working outdoors for long hours.
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Must meet eligibility requirements to operate company vehicles.
- Knowledge of materials handling and control systems, fulfillment or distribution yard operations, and supply chain logistics.
- Ability to effectively manage site installation with subcontracted or temp agency personnel.
- Responsible for the success and completion of project.
- Having a valid US Passport is a plus, but not required.
- OSHA training or certification is a plus.
Location / Travel
Extensive travel in the US 50% - 90% of the time on the road.
