Ralph L Wadsworth Construction (RLW) is looking for a Superintendent who is experienced in overseeing and managing commercial concrete projects.

About the Role

The Superintendent will direct activities of workers on commercial concrete projects ranging in cost from one to ten million dollars by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, interpret, and enforce safety policies and practices.
  • Schedules and documents all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
  • Completes daily reports such as units complete, safety reports, EEO meetings and weekly unit cost worksheets.
  • Completes regular performance reviews for employees under his/her direction in a complete and timely manner.
  • Ensures the employee understands the review, signs the review form and is provided a copy for his/her records.
  • Attends monthly Superintendent meetings and participates actively.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of Supervisor work experience in commercial concrete.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of commercial concrete construction (footings, foundations, slabs on grad, columns, etc.).
  • A minimum of 10 years of commercial concrete vertical builds of office buildings, parking structures, or multi-residential builds.
  • A minimum of 4 years of reading blueprint and specs for commercial builds and commercial concrete footings and foundations projects.

Qualifications

  • Four or more years related experience and / or training; or a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be proficient and able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of a Rough Carpenter level III.

Skills

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications for commercial builds and commercial concrete footings and foundations projects.
  • Ability to manage and direct workers on commercial concrete projects.
  • Experience in supervising and managing projects ranging in cost from one to ten million dollars.
