About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Superintendent to lead and manage large-scale construction projects. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility to completion, developing project strategies, plans, and budgets, and assembling qualified project teams. The role involves scheduling, coordinating, and supervising craft employee activities, including various trade groups such as electricians, boilermakers, and carpenters in disciplines like civil, structural, and electrical.

You can be located anywhere in the US if you are highly willing to travel to client projects on a long-term basis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise construction activities, including determining methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules. Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate work with different crafts, departments, or contractors. Resolve construction problems and maintain communication with unions.
  • Monitor compliance with safety programs and document corrective measures. Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedules.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address concerns.
  • Track project progress through metrics and reporting, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or challenges.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards and compliance regulations.
  • Continuously seek ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and eight (8) or more years of supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $15M.
  • A valid US driver’s license and a valid passport; willingness and ability to travel (estimated at 70% or more).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
  • Experience supervising, motivating, and mentoring cross-functional teams.
  • Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.

Skills

  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
