Superintendent

About the role

The Superintendent oversees the coordination of all Ryan employees, subcontractors, and project management on the jobsite to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. This role involves enforcing safety protocols, managing and training personnel, and controlling the project budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer a site-specific safety program in accordance with Ryan safety policies and procedures.
• Manage and train subcontractors in the performance of their work according to contracts.
• Understand and control the project budget, assist in its development, and manage the project within this budget.
• Aid in material procurement and establish and monitor the Quality Control program for the project.
• Daily documentation and file management, including holding, preparing, and documenting required meetings.

Requirements

• Post-high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be able to remain calm under stress and effectively handle challenges or issues that arise.
• Must be able to recognize when additional support is needed and seek assistance when necessary.
• Must possess strong meeting management skills and be a team player with excellent team-building abilities.
• May require moderate support from a Field Coordinator.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications and provide clear directions to project personnel.
