About the role
The Superintendent oversees the coordination of all Ryan employees, subcontractors, and project management on the jobsite to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. This role involves enforcing safety protocols, managing and training personnel, and controlling project budgets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and administer a site-specific safety program adhering to Ryan's safety policies and procedures.
- Manage and train subcontractors according to contracts.
- Understand and control the project budget, assist in its development, and manage the project within this budget.
- Aid in material procurement and establish and monitor the Quality Control program for the project.
- Daily documentation, file management, and meeting preparation.
- Document and print management.
Requirements
- Post-high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to remain calm under stress and work through challenges.
- Must be able to seek assistance when needed.
- Strong meeting management and team-building skills.
- Moderate support from a Field Coordinator.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
