Superintendent

About the role

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting (Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build) across Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. They are seeking Concrete, Labor and Mechanical Superintendents for their Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed Project Contract status reports.
• Coordinate with the team in development of project site logistics plan.
• Coordinate and Assist with scheduling of project site logistics plan.
• Coordinate with the team in development and thorough updates of the project schedule.
• Coordinate with the team on the pay request process.
• Monitor project costs and job cost reports.
• Analyze and forecast total cost projection reports.
• Implement and monitor safety for all on-site staff personnel.
• Monitor project labor.
• Review and approve material and equipment needs.
• Any and all other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least five (5) years of experience on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.

Requirements

This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone; read printed materials, signs and directions; maintain attention despite interruptions; lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls up to 50 pounds; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead; traverse around or position oneself to meet work and safety requirements on various construction sites. The role involves working outside frequently for long periods in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, and exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris. Additionally, candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
