Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Develop and communicate work plans, particularly when field changes occur
- Review contract documents and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
- Participate in constructability reviews and assess change impacts
- Ensure all required permits are obtained and maintained
- Act as the primary safety lead on-site, driving a strong safety-first culture
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Lead regular site meetings and drive communication across the team
- Maintain accurate daily reporting and project documentation
- Develop, manage, and adjust project schedules, including contingency planning
- Oversee site logistics and ensure efficient coordination of labour and materials
- Monitor quality standards and implement corrective actions where required
- Support material procurement and workforce planning
- Mentor junior field staff and support their development
- Contribute to scope development and subcontractor buyout processes
- Assist with time and materials tracking
- Lead daily site briefings, including safety and pre-task planning
- Promote a positive and inclusive jobsite culture
Requirements
Experience & Education
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-8 years' experience delivering commercial or industrial projects valued at $15M+ in a Superintendent or similar site leadership role
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA 30 or equivalent)
- Additional certifications in site safety or supervision are advantageous
