About the role
Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent to work on various hospitality-focused projects throughout New York City, NY.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports accurately describing project status.
- Provide timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted workforces for construction projects.
- Review status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis.
- Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
- Direct subcontractor activities within interior fit-out projects.
- Analyze manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interface the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
- Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Prepare reports and forecasts as required and keep supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
- Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects, with high-end amenities experience a plus.
- Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
- Luxury Hotel/Boutique project experience desired.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.
Pay
Salary range: $120,000 – $180,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
