Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all stages of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed within the stipulated time frame and budget.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe and hazard-free working environment for all employees.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds standards, and that all work is in compliance with project specifications.
- Identify potential risks and implement risk management strategies to mitigate them.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings, and ensure that construction work aligns with these documents.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Continually seek ways to improve construction processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in safety management, time management, quality control, risk management, and blueprint reading.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure high quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software.
- Experienced in Trades prior to management experience.
Pay
$95,000 - $115,000 per year
