Superintendent
Location: Montauk, Long Island, 11954
Compensation Range: $55 – $70/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a Superintendent for a $15 million clubhouse renovation that has completed design and is preparing to enter construction. The project duration is approximately 13–14 months, with an expected start by the end of October 2026.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day‑to‑day field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors performing demolition, structural concrete, waterproofing, precast panel installation, MEP, IT, and interior renovation work to maintain an efficient construction sequence.
- Develop and maintain short‑term look‑ahead schedules, monitor project progress, and proactively identify and resolve field issues that could impact the construction schedule.
- Enforce site safety requirements by conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial construction or major renovation projects.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills with the ability to supervise multiple subcontractors and field personnel.
- Extensive experience with commercial renovation and occupied construction projects.
- Experience coordinating demolition, structural concrete, waterproofing, precast concrete installation, and interior fit‑out work.
Pay
Estimated range: $55 – $70 per hour.
