About the Role
Oversee and manage electrical construction activities on project sites. Coordinate and supervise electrical installations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations. Lead and manage a team of electricians, subcontractors, and technicians, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and electrical work sequences. Ensure coordination between electrical activities and other trades.
- Lead and manage a team of electricians, subcontractors, and technicians. Provide guidance, support, and supervision for safe and efficient electrical installations.
- Oversee and monitor all electrical construction activities, including material procurement, installation, wiring, and testing. Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Review and approve subcontractor work, resolve conflicts, and monitor performance.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and quality of electrical installations. Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the project site. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of electrical installations, including drawings, as-built records, and equipment manuals. Review and approve electrical shop drawings and submittals.
- Monitor progress of electrical installations and report on status, productivity, and any issues or delays to project managers and stakeholders.
- Assess and evaluate change order requests related to electrical work. Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to determine impact on project schedule, cost, and resources.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Address client concerns and provide project updates.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Extended hours, varying by job and site requirements.
- May need to work weekends if business needs require.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures.
- Position requires the ability to stand, squat, and reach.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipment.
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions.
- Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
- Be subject to motor or machine noise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certification as an electrician or electrical technician.
- Proven experience as an Electrical General Superintendent or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
- 3+ years of experience in field construction management.
Skills
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.

Pay
Compensation commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
