Superintendent

About the role

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Heavy Civil Utility Superintendent to join the team for an exciting and highly visible project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the field operations and on-site crews, as well as achieving budget production, planning/executing work safely and installation of all work to a high-quality standard.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct field foremen and multiple labor crews to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met for all self-performing and subcontracted operations
• Ability to schedule, plan & coordinate all work
• Scheduling private utilities resources
• Manhole inspections & exploratory test pitting
• Reviewing/Agreeing with inspector on bid item quantities
• Mark-out / Utility Survey Layout work for foreman & crew
• Ordering & receiving materials with shop / procurement dept
• Coordinating labor & equipment needs

Requirements

• Thorough understanding and familiarity with utility work, waste/storm water, sewer & watermain work
• Familiar with standard Support of Excavation (SOE) methods for different circumstances, along with handling of dewatering means/methods
• Familiarity experience when working around private utilities (eg: Con Ed, CET items, etc) a plus

Pay

Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses ($160k-$190k)
