Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities for commercial, industrial, and/or multifamily projects.
• Enforce jobsite safety, quality control requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct daily site walks; identify and resolve field issues quickly.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion.
• Provide leadership and direction to construction teams.
• Cook up daily with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and workflow.
• Cook up with all relevant utility providers, including gas, water, and electrical services, and submit all required applications.
• Foster a culture focused on accuracy, safety, and technical excellence throughout all project phases.
• Maintain accurate field reports, daily logs, and safety documentation.
• Verify compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial construction.
• Additional experience in industrial and/or multifamily is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading projects valued over $5 million as primary Superintendent.
• MUST have SST certification.
• Official Superintendent of NYS certification preferred, but not required.
• Additional relevant certifications also preferred, but not required.
• Strong familiarity with construction management, safety, and heavy construction protocols on a general and local level.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently.
• Proficiency with project management software and strong ability to adapt to technological needs.
