Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations while maintaining the highest safety, quality, and production standards.
- Manage multiple grading and site development projects throughout the Southeast.
- Supervise and mentor foremen, operators, and field personnel.
- Cookordinate project schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
- Attend owner, engineer, client, and pre-construction meetings.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within production goals.
- Maintain OSHA and MSHA compliance on all assigned projects.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and lead safety meetings.
- Oversee erosion control installation, inspections, and compliance.
- Cookordinate with Project Engineers on layouts, material submittals, and project documentation.
- Manage project paperwork including timesheets, fuel logs, load counts, change orders, and billing information.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training field personnel.
- Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil, grading, earthwork, or site development.
- Strong knowledge of grading operations, road construction, and heavy equipment.
- Experience supervising multiple crews and managing several active projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
- Ability to read plans, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record and willingness to travel throughout the Southeast.
- Preferred Experience:
- Heavy equipment operations including dozers, excavators, motor graders, compactors, and loaders.
- Erosion and sediment control compliance.
- Production scheduling and equipment management.
- Project documentation, reporting, and cost awareness.
