What You’ll Do
- Lead Field Operations: Oversee all day-to-day jobsite activities, including supervision of Field Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Drive the Schedule: Develop and manage the project schedule, including Three Week Look Ahead plans. Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, and material deliveries to keep the project on track and maintain momentum.
- Coordinate Trades & Execution: Manage sequencing of work across all trades and ensure proper coordination throughout the project. Communicate expectations clearly and hold teams accountable to project timelines and standards.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Implement and enforce project-specific quality control processes. Ensure all work meets IMC standards and contract requirements, with a strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Reinforce Safety Standards: Lead by example in upholding IMC’s “Safety First” culture. Ensure safety protocols are followed across the jobsite and that all teams are working in a safe and well-managed environment.
- Manage Site Logistics: Develop and maintain site logistics and temporary facilities plans. Ensure the jobsite remains organized, efficient, and properly staged throughout all phases of construction.
- Oversee Inspections & Compliance: Coordinate all required inspections and testing, including third-party agencies. Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and company standards.
- Track & Document Field Activity: Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and as-built records. Monitor progress and ensure proper reporting across all field activities.
- Lead & Develop Field Teams: Supervise, develop, coach and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to help build a strong field team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in field operations
- Trade background, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on construction experience preferred (4-year degree a plus, not required)
- Proven ability to lead and manage jobsite teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination
- Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Primavera/P6, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- OSHA 30 certification required
