About the role
The D&L Electric team is seeking a best-in-class Electrical Superintendent willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical construction activities on commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
- Manage and coordinate Electrical Foremen, Lead Electricians, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Oversee installation of electrical systems including:
- Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
- Switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and panelboards
- Generator and backup power systems
- Loading and control systems
- Grounding and bonding systems
- Industrial controls and instrumentation systems
- Structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure as applicable
- Carefully coordinate work activities with general contractors, owners, engineers, and other trades.
- Review construction documents, specifications, schedules, and coordination drawings to ensure proper execution.
- Attend project meetings and provide field updates regarding manpower, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Support the construction of hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities.
- Experience supporting the construction of hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with:
- UPS systems
- Generator plants
- Busway installations
- Critical power distribution systems
- Commissioning and turnover processes
- Fast-track construction schedules
- Ability to coordinate electrical activities in highly technical environments where quality, reliability, and schedule performance are critical.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years of electrical construction experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
- Proven experience leading ground-up and shell/core construction projects.
- Data center, manufacturing, industrial processing, healthcare, higher education, or large commercial project experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License, Master Electrician License, or NCCER Certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- OSHA regulations
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Construction scheduling and manpower planning
- Quality control and commissioning processes
- Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, BIM coordination tools, and mobile field reporting applications is a plus.
